About ContraX

ContraX is a community marketplace that connects local contractors with the people who need them. Whether you're a homeowner planning a remodel, a rancher with fence work piling up, or a business looking for a dependable crew, ContraX helps you find trusted tradespeople close to home — and helps hard-working contractors find their next job without paying for leads or chasing down work.

The app covers nine essential trades: electricians, roofers, framers, plumbers, yard work, painters, concrete specialists, mobile mechanics, and oilfield hands. Service seekers can browse contractor profiles, check license documents and photos of past work, read honest reviews from real customers, and post jobs with the exact dates they need help. Contractors can build a full business profile, showcase their best work, and list their services for free.

ContraX is built and maintained by Juan Villafana and the ContraX team. It was created for the hard-working communities that keep local trades alive — the towns where a good recommendation is worth more than any advertisement. Our goal is simple: make it easy to hire skilled people you can trust, and make it easy for skilled people to get hired.
